A 60-day journey around the Land Down Under was terminated in the wake of the fatal incident of an senior female passenger who was stranded by the cruise liner on a remote tropical isle.

The elderly woman had been hiking on the remote island with fellow passengers from the vessel, but broke off from the party for a break. The ship sailed away leaving her and went back later that day after the crew became aware the woman was unaccounted for.

A major hunt found her person the subsequent day.
